I need knitting help?

I knitted a wristband and cast off and everything.

Right now, it is just 4-5 inch long straight line.

I need a way to like connect the ends together so it is a wristband.

How do you do this?

  1. this is something that is hard to talk a person through. check out this website:

and it will show you how to do it.

    happy knitting!

  2. If you want to do something different get a couple of long pieces of yarn.  It can be the  same as the one  you used or another.  Put it through the openings between the stitches as you would if you were lacing a shoe.  If you have too much yarn after that, trim it but do the trim after you have tied the yarn.  Double tie the bow if you plan on just slipping it on.

  3. You take a yarn-sewing needle (huge needle designed to carry yarn) and thread it.  Fold your yarn over and stick the folded part through the eye of the huge needle, then pull the rest of the loose end through.  Pull out about a couple of feet of yarn from your skein, ball, or hank, and cut it.  Put the ends of your knitted piece together, laying them so they touch end to end.  Carefully sew it together, making a whipstitch that connects the two sides (don't overlap them like fabric and try to sew them that way) until you get to the end.  Knot off, but don't cut it yet.  Instead, put your needle back through your stitching, pull tight, and cut.  As the yarn relaxes after being pulled and cut, the loose end will disappear.

  4. Next time I would suggest that you use 4 knitting needles and that way you don't have to connect the ends because you'll be knitting in a circle.  You can also use a very small circular knitting needle.

Try this : close the last row, if you don't know how I'll help you.  After it's closed leave a long enough strand to sew the two ends together.  That way you won't have knots.  Just use a yarn sewing needle and sew the ends as if you were making a seam by hand, or make a flat seam, which I think would look better.

Another way that would also look cute would be a big button on one side and a large loop at the other end to fasten the button.

These are just ideas off the top of my head.
