My problem. So I had 2 weeks to pick a topic for Anthropology. The professor wanted Comparative religion. I chose to compare religious views on the Holocaust. He tells me no, that now he wants political veiws in germany during that time. Problem: there is so much to write about i can't fit it all into a 6 page paper. There is so much; I don't even know where I should focuse. I thought about politics and genocide...is that still to broad?

  1. My suggestion is to take one smaller issue and explore the political views on that. One example would be the Lebensborn program, a n**i program to breed Aryans. Men with the "appropriate" backgrounds were encouraged to father many children, even outside marriage. There was a fair amount of debate before and after the war.

There was also union issues, particularly in the 1930s.

The n**i/ Communist issue could be examined. Hitler didn't like the communists but signed a non-aggression pact with them.

  2. You could write a paper on why the German people were so attracted to the n**i party as opposed to other political parties at the time

  3. The n***s killed so many other people, maybe reasons for killing Gypsies (politely termed Roma) or Unitarians or g**s.

  4. d**n, yeah you're prof screwed up.  6 pages is too small for a comprehensive look at the politics of Germany during that time.  To narrow it donw, perhaps look at only underground movements, or only the official party line, or the relationship between the military and the ogvernment, or the secret police, or the guards of hte concentracion camp, or a specific troop type in a specifc unity.
