  1. The only difference I have noticed in US tourists are that they tend to wear white socks with their trainers.  May I point out that this does not offend anyone, just points them out as US tourists.  Go sockless or buy the trainer liner things (don't know the correct name).  Everyone does their own thing on clothing (apart from not wearig white socks) so don't worry, enjoy yourself.

  2. no one will notics if you are a tourist or not, anyway whocares even if you did look like a tourist, your never going to see the people that think that of you again are you.

and you would just see crouded places, shops, kids playing football and stuff. Its nothing fantastic, well not for me cos ive lived hear all my life, but i cant notice who;s a tourist and who isnt, i dont really think about that anyway, i go abroad.

  3. dont worry about looking like a tourist, there are a lot of different fashions over here so even some British people sometimes look like they are tourists cos they dress so strangley!

well the fashion that doesnt seem to change much is skinny jeans and flat shoes (ballet pump style things) or a denim skirt/dress worn with footless tights/leggings also with flat shoes

lots of girls wear cardigans although a lot of people will be seen in hooded jackets. if you wear a tracksuit (doesnt mater if its fake Lacoste or not) especially in veleour you will be seen by the public as a 'chav' or 'hoody' which is basically a youth who belongs to some kind of gang who usually gets drunk sat in a bus stop shelter and who hurls abuse at random members of the public and is generally antisocial. you dont want to dress like a chav lol

basically, i think if you come to the UK just have a look around and see what people are wearing. UK fashion is pretty different to a lot of other fashions from other places in the world, are you from the US? cos if so i dont think you would look that much like a tourist. and theres nothing that wrong with looking like a tourist if you actually are a tourist lol, just make sure you bring clothes for hot days but also you bring clothes that will keep you warm and dry (the weather changes so much, one day it could be the hottest in the year and the next it could be chilly and raining). so bring an umbrella and a coat!

and i think you will really like the UK, i am a bit biased cos i live here lol but i hope you have a good time! i think youll find the people here are really friendly and should be welcoming :)

p.s. if you are that concerned about fashion you should check out the Topshop website (http://www.topshop.com/) because its THE place to shop at if you want the latest UK fashion and it will give you an idea of what a lot of people are wearing at the moment.

hope you have a good trip!

  4. Like? Like like what?

  5. Every1 weres diffrent things. I would jeans and a top and a jumper(if its cold) or just a normal top. Dont Woz it will BE FINE!

  6. What you would see if you walked down the street would really depend where you were in Britain, everywhere is different.

If I walked out of my house I would see little kids, wearing trackies and having mad hairstyles playing football, young teenagers pushing prams, gangs of neds, probably some alkies and junkies.  I would see that the area is a dump, there's dog c**p everywhere, the houses are ugly, people are shouting and swearing.

If I kept walking for 10 minutes I would see very different people.  Probably lots of students, wealthy people, lots of different nationalities.  Lots of nice restaurants, pubs, nice shops, parks, great architecture, museums, galleries etc.

There's a big difference in what I'd see in a distance of a 10 minute walk, so there's going to be a massive distance in what you'd see depending on where you are in Britain, or the UK.  You've mentioned both, but Britain is Scotland, England and Wales.  The UK is these three plus Northern Ireland.

As for what to wear, well everyone wears different clothes so I wouldn't really worry too much about it.   Unless you walk about with a camera hanging around your neck then no-one will really know you're a tourist, lol.

If I was you, I'd be spending more time learning about the place I was going to, and being able to distinguish between UK and Britain ;)
