Question

40 dollars plus sales tax

what is the total for this

(im in Oklahoma)

and no this is not my math homework

im going shopping and there are two shirts i want

and i have another one

if i order those two shirts for 40 dollars online plus shipping and handle but i have a 20% off thing how much would that be

I don't know the sales tax in OK, but whatever it is, say it's 5%, take that divided by one hundred, add 1, and multiply that by $40 (in this case that would be 1.05 x $40). That gives you the total amount, $40 plus tax.

If you buy shirts online, they probably will not charge sales tax if their company is out of state...  20% off of $40 is $8, so you would be paying $32 plus S/H.
