I need major help with my hair!!!!!?

Ok well here is the deal. I have wavy/curly hair. No matter what stuff I use in it or if I use a diffuser or not, it poofs at the top. Most girls like it, saying it's "volume" but since i have so much and i'm so petite it looks stupid. ANYWAY, I love straightening my hair and it straightens really easily but i HATE having to do it every night. I know it's going to horribly damage my hair in the long run. So long story short, what products or tricks can I use to keep my hair shiny even when it's curly, NOT have all my nasty frizz, and keep it in pretty waves?? I feel like I've tried everything!! Please help, I hate my lion's mane!

HAve you tried Frizz ease?  Or the Ion product at Sally's?  Why not have a permanent straightener on it (not really permanent)  just a reverse perm.  You wont have to do it so often and less damage.  Lots of conditioner will keep it all in good shape.
