  1. set your clock back two hours then youll wake up at 10:00 instead. good luck and i hope you aint late for anything.

  2. First there's the self-fulfilling prophecy: "I always wake up at midnight." Often you do.

Next. How is this a problem? Can you roll over and go back to sleep or are you up for hours?

How does changing bedtime, what you eat affect this? When you don't wake up at midnight, what had changed.

In short, what's the degree of the problem?

See a medical type if the midnight wake up is costing you sleep and you're tired.

  3. STOP SLEEPING DURING THE DAY!!!!!

  4. If you go to a local vitamin store, think GMC or HiHealth, you can ask the adviser to find you Melatonin, a sleep enhancer.  I have used it before, it is a dissolvable tablet that helps you fall asleep.  It sounds like insomnia, if it is effecting your daily life, I would go to a doctor and get prescribed Lunesta: which also works very well.

  5. saddy, it might be too late tonight...  However, you could go to Rite-aid or your local grocery and pick up some Tylonol PM...

  6. Hi. You can try several natural things. For example, drink warm milk before you sleep (provided you're not lactose intolerant), listen to some soothing music, read a boring book or the newspaper (this works for some people), or if you're not allergic to essential oils, you can try applying a few drops of lavender oil on your pillow. Hopefully one of these things will help you sleep through the night.

On a separate note, there could be a medical reason behind your problem; you may want to check out if you have sleep apnea...there's a lot of information on this on the net.

    Good luck!

  7. Buy a portable CD player, get a couple of novels on CD that you would enjoy, plug the tiny speakers into your ears when you turn in and viola, = sleep machine.

When you wake at 2 am, roll back to a point you recognize and begin to listen...sleep machine!

    Have fun.

PS ...could there be anything that is bothering you in your personal life or at work that could be keeping you from sleep check out this:

    Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy is the favoured alternative to drugs as a treatment for common mental health problems. It is based on the principle that certain types of thoughts that we have about ourselves — at its simplest, whether we think we are loved, wanted, despised or boring — have a major effect on the way we perceive the world. If we feel unloved, the world will appear to be unloving, and then every moment of every day our sense of being unloved is confirmed. That, after all, is what depression is all about. These types of thoughts are called "automatic thoughts" because they operate on the margins of our consciousness as a continual sort of internal monologue. If these thoughts can be identified and brought out into the open, then the state of mind they sustain, whether anxiety, depression, or any of the other neuroses, can begin to be resolved. This type of therapy is called "cognitive", because it is primarily about changing our thoughts about ourselves, the world and the future.

Cognitive therapy is linked to a companion branch of therapy known as "behavioural therapy", which aims to deal not with the underlying causes of symptoms such as depression and anxiety but with the symptoms themselves. When practised together as cognitive behavioural therapy, the two approaches have been found to be highly effective in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, with the added major benefit that people successfully treated with CBT are less likely to experience later recurrence of their condition than those successfully treated with other forms of therapy.
