666666z gave me the idea of asking here.

The hubby and I had a bit of a tiff last night and I would like to make a "make up meal". What do you suggest I make.

Lets stay away from the sexual stuff, I am perfectly capable of handling all of that.

  1. I suggest making a large fish of lasagna. I'm talking about a quick 30 minute lasagna, but look online for good recipes (there are LOTS of recipes for it). You could also use a different type of cheese (such as mozzarella over the cheddar) so that it says I'm sorry or something. Personally, I would feel great if my loved one spent so much time to apologize. I think it's really great that you care enough about him to do something like this and I respect you for it.

  2. Breakout the Paula Deen cookbook. Reach for something that you know he would like, but is too expensive at the restuarants and you never have time to cook. For example rack of lamb, shrimp and grits ect.

  3. I think you are making things more complicated than they have to be -- as women are want to do.

I would guess that tackling him and throwing down with the lovin' is the best way to make it up to him, but if you must eat first to keep the energy up so be it. It won't matter what you cook. As long as you are showing him he is important to you the meal itself won't be so important.

But to answer your question sushi. I think I'm only saying that because I want some sushi. Also a steak is always a good choice.

  4. I'm a big fan of steak, eggs, biscuits and grits in the morning.

You should make what he likes though.

  5. Perhaps pot roast as an entree.

  6. Ahhh the make up meal.

Arguably better than make up s*x!

I'd go with breakfast, we guys are hungry in the morning. I'd go with Belgian waffles with whipped cream and strawberries, but you know your husband's taste it food as least fairly well i'd expect, you probably know more than anyone here what he'd like.

  7. Meatloaf, with mash patados, with peas, and corn.

  8. make some Let go my Egg-o's. (waffles) :D

  9. I would say try something new maybe or better yet make something he likes but in a new way.

A different spice or something like that.

BTW it is very nice of you to put out an olive branch like that kudos to you hope fully your husband will reciprocate with something nice for you.

  10. 1.  Make his favorite meal.

    2.  Make finger food or hors d'oeuvres type stuff.  Spread a blanket on the living room floor, light some candles, put on some music you both like, and feed each other with chopsticks, like an indoor picnic.  I thought that was really lame when I first read it, but it went over like blazes when I tried it.

    3.  Steak, potatoes he likes, salad (his favorite dressing), and a decadent dessert.

    4.  My makeup meal is spaghetti and meatballs.  Something about pasta and endorphins turns him into a puppy.

    Have a nice evening!

  11. Breakfast is usually a guys favorite.. Go crazy with the pancakes, eggs, maybe some strawberries on top.  And of course some morning s*x included.  I know.. I was supposed to leave that out, but it just happened.

  12. a yummy Italian dinner with salad and candles and garlic bread.

  13. Yeah, I like sausage too.

  14. I'm a fan of sausuage

  15. What do I suggest you make? Make something he likes. I don't know why you need a public survey on what to make your husband.

  16. If you know what his mom used to make for him that he liked, try that.  It's a touch that's calming and pleasing to the palate at the same time. Sort of mothering if you must.

Good luck, though I doubt if you'll need it.

  17. Something manly, nothing too soft or fru-fru.  But it doesn't have to come with an angioplasty included.  Maybe something spicy, or at least with a kick.

It's not just the menu, though; it's also the presentation.  Be sure that you include whatever he loves for desert, other than you!

  18. Breakfast.  You can't go wrong with breakfast.  :D

  19. Beer. A temporary solution to any problem.

  20. His favorite meal or something simple.  It's the gesture that counts.  Hope he accepts the gesture.  Good luck.

  21. i vote for pancakes

  22. His favourite meal.

  23. Oyster Soups with a nice red wine and chocolate cover strawberries for desert

  24. Guys like fatty, salty foods.  I would say don't overdo it.  Wear a t-shirt and jeans, rent an action movie, and order a pizza.  Simplicity.  Show him you're willing to join him in whatever he likes.

  25. pancakes or french toast
