I need menu ideas for a hawaiian bbq luau type party?

Question

Besides the teriyaki beef, chicken and rice, what else would be good for a hawaiian bbq party? also any other party ideas for such a theme would be nice too :D

Oriental Trading Co. has a great website for inexpensive decorations and favors.  They have a grass skirt to go around tables at luaus, plus the leis and other decorations.   You could do fruit ke-bobs on bamboo skewers, stuck into a whole fresh pineapple for a centerpiece .....  and a fruit salad of tropical fruits (mango, papaya, kiwi, banana, pineapple, guava, starfruit) ...   Hawaiian coleslaw (add drained crushed pineapple to your favorite coleslaw recipe) ....   Macadamia nuts in whatever you can think of!  (chocolate chip cookies, pie, or just in dishes to snack on)  ...   Use big fake banana leaves (or other big leaves) under platters of food on the buffet table ......  scatter little silk or plastic orchids all around, and garnish the food platters with them (they're on EVERYTHING that you get in Hawaii) .....   I don't remember ever having chicken & rice in Hawaii, but you might want to have some sort of pork dish - in lieu of bbq-ing a whole pig in the ground- lol ...  Have a LIMBO contest  ...   If there's a tv around, you could play Elvis' Hawaiian movies...

i live in hawaii and i love it!! gotta have lomi lomi salmon(onions, salmon and tomato and soem green onion)-special way to make it...pipi kaula-some type or bbq meat..and my fave kalua pork wit cabbage..is a must!!! also, try li hing mui dried mango or li hing seed...haupi (coconut) is really yummy..
