  1. bring gatorade or powerraid

    a orange or some fruit

    and some crackers

  2. Normally before i go jogging i have a banana, a kit-kat, and an orange juice, fairly light but decent energy.  I always take a bottle of water to have  as well.

  3. Drink Powerade or Gatorade...or an energy drink of some sort i personally loveee powerade.

  4. You may not be drinking enough H2O!

  5. You should try eating:

    A few crackers

    ½ banana and orange juice

    Yogurt

Gatorade (or bring this with you): Studies show that 50 percent of people walking into their morning workout are already dehydrated. Make sure you rise and shine with some fluid to maximize your efforts in the gym. Consuming a sports drink, like Gatorade, fulfills both fluid and energy needs

This way you aren't overly full but you will ensure that your sugar levels are normal and your body is fully hydrated and you electrolyte levels are where they should be.  Hope this helps.

  6. the vitamin B12 works wonders for me take one like a half an hour before you workout,it gives you energy

  7. Ok. Before getting into the boost before jogging lets hit a couple of basics first.

    1. Drink plenty of water. Water increases energy levels natrually and can increase metabolism by 3%. If you feel tired drink 2 glasses of water. If you feel better after 15 minutes then you were just dehydrated. When we are dehydrated we feel tired. We need 1 ounce for every 2 pounds of body weight plus 8 more ouces for every 20 minute of exercise. With hot/dry days and climates even more is needed. We can get some of our water from foods and other drinks. Caffeine and alcohol dehydrate us so they don't count as water intake.

    2. Take a good quality multi vitamin/mineral supplement. We all need to supplement. The RDA/RDI was set up as the minimum amounts needed to prevent nutritional deficiency diseases. For optimal health and energy we need more. With supplements you get what you pay for. Most store bought versions are not worth the money.

    3. For extra energy concerns add to your multi vitamin/mineral a good quality multi B complex for energy. Don't limit the B vitamin to just one. They all work together. Also adding a good quality Ginseng with Ginko Biloba supplemtn helps too.

Now before a workout I drink 2 glasses of water and an energy drink. The 2 glasses both hydrate me and offset the caffeine in the energy drink. Plus I use a healthy energy drink which has many more B vitamins than regular energy drinks. This is good for an energy boost too.

Sometimes I might eat a pice of fruit or energy bar but I do this at least 30 mintues before the workout. This way I don't have it still in my tummy and my body putting in energy trying to digest it and me working out at the same time. If your body is busy doing something else you won't have as much energy availble to you to do your workout.
