I need more help on names!!

Question

We have narrowed it down to these if our baby is a girl. Which do you like best? We still need middle name sugestions, and no "Anns, Lynns,Maries, Faith, Hope,or Joys. Mix and match

Grant William Stacy is a wonderful name!  My friend named her little boy Grant -- it's so strong and masculine!  (It's not heard too often either.)

My favorites for a girl are Kiersten, Audrey, Jasmine, and Felicity.  While I love Ava as well, it's become very common recently.  Lorelei is a wonderful name, too, but many people associate it with "Gilmore Girls" -- it now seems a bit more distanced from its German mythological roots.  

The names I wouldn't use are Kaylin, Lilliane, Brielle, and Alexia.  Kaylin seems like a trendy adaptation of Kayla.  Lilliane's pronunciation is unclear -- is it pronounced like Lillian or like Lily-Anne?  I do like the name Lillian, so if you were hoping for that pronunciation, I would recommend just spelling it the normal way.  Brielle seems rather insignificant and incomplete, though it does have a nice rhythm as a middle name.  Alexia, though pretty, is also the name of a brain disorder whereby one is unable to learn to read -- I think Alexa, Alexandra, or (my favorite) Alexandria would be a better choice.

Since your last name ends with a -y, I might avoid using a first or middle name that ends with a -y.  Audrey Stacy and Felicity Stacy don't sound bad, but they don't strike me as completely ideal.  I'll still suggest some combinations with them, though, since they are lovely names.

I think Brielle is a beautiful name. I think, out of the list you've given us, you should go for that one. It doesn't sound too over-the-top but is still unique. :)

As for a middle name to go with it, how about yours or your partner's first name? Or a family member's first name? Gives your child a connection to their family.

If you don't feel like going with that how about considering what the first name means and linking a middle name to it. For example, Brielle means "God is my might" so how about the middle name having something to do with strength? Audra means "Noble strength".

Or pick another meaning that you want your child to contain. Love, beauty, beloved, etc., and search names for those meanings online. Most baby name websites have meaning searches. :)
