  1. Make it female, with class

  2. Provide a frame of pool free for every game won .

  3. Start a league if you don't already have one. speak to the Human resources person at local large business about having Private parties for their company with a tournament for there employees only.  Drink Specials, Ladies Night Tuesday or Wednesday Ladies play for free. Advertise at the local College with 2 for 1 hour deals. (College ID Required)

  4. u can have like snooker competition or something. maybe have a little bar just downstairs etc. for a newcomer in the business, u can lower ur price to attract customers and then get the price back when u start having regulars

  5. Why not offer a prize for the best trick shot?

  6. Sponsor tournaments!

It's the First Annual (insert your business name here) Double-Elimination 8-Ball Tournament! 100% payback! First drink free!

So, you have a store? If so, having a tournament there would be out of the question, so get together with local bar owners and see about getting a more appropriate venue for your tournament. Maybe even have one round at each bar, give the players a schedule with directions to each bar, first games get played at Punky's, losers bracket gets played at Ad's Tap, winner's bracket goes to Jake's, Semi-finals at Bogey's, Finals at The Lounge. (fictional bar names added). The bars get business, your business gets exposure (bring pool stuff to sell, of course), the players get a tournament. Everybody's happy.

Advertise at least two months in advance. Get posters printed for the bars, Run an ad in the paper (ask them to put it in upside down, it gets more attention), and cover your front window (if you in fact have a store) with advertising.

Once you get on a first-name basis with the local bar owners, you might be able to sell some of your stock at their bars. Maybe move a cabinet in with some pool accessories. The time when most people are likely to make a big purchase is after store hours, when they've had a few. No reason you should miss out on their business. Have the bars give your business card out with each sale.

Also, NEVER get caught with less than one hundred business cards on you at any time. Not having a business card when you need one costs you money.

  7. GO BALLS DEEP

  8. so many options....contests....drink specials...invite speed dating groups to use your facility (paying you of course), promote with purpose, try to arrange advertising with local bars (that don't have pool tables, so you wouldn't be in competition with them), advertise on roads (billboards). What area do you live in? Industrial, with a lot of people working in factories who get off the job and go have beers?  Put billboard signs up on highways leading from the industrial areas to the housing areas.  Talk to marketing and advertising companies, they know all this stuff.  Figure out what demographic is most likely to patron your establishment and advertise to THEM.
