I need my dream interpreted?

I dreamed that I woke up on the couch and I went to the window in my bedroom and when I looked out all I saw was darkness. So I ran to get my mother so she can see it. And when we both looked out it was something like the ocean. and it looked like a sunrise but then this big wave came and went over our house and it became dark again. everytime the wave goes back it becomes a sunrise again.Then it came again but this time it went through the window because now it was open. When it did this my mother ran away and I was left to figure out what to do. And noticed that the curtains was on the opposite wall held on by some thumb tacks. So I took them out and they fell on the window.and then I closed the window.and then it became sunny outside.?

You're seeing the negative and the positive side of yourself all at once. Maybe deep down you're scared of your mother leaving you all of a sudden and you won't know what to do. You are also seeing all the positives of your whole life of what you can remember, hence the sunlight and ocean, maybe that's your idea of paradise, and the darkness is your idea of h**l and confusion.

This dream sounds as if you and your Mom face a lot of trials together, one overwhelming wave of trouble after another.  It seems at times there is no hope, but when you think you're going to be overcome completely by hopelessness and pain, the wave of trouble subsides and you see the light of hope once again.

The wave that comes through the open window represents some trial that reached you and your Mom at a deeper level than any had before.... you were more vulnerable and open to it.  Perhaps this was a different kind of trial... something more personal than the other trials.  It was more than your Mom could handle.  Perhaps it was primarily your trial and you had to bear much of it alone.

You noticed the curtains on the opposite wall were held on by some thumbtacks.  When you took the thumbtacks out, did the curtains close, or was the window entirely exposed?  I'm having a little trouble understanding this.

If the curtain fell in such a way as to cover the window, this is what I think it means:  You have left a window open in your life through which trouble could enter.   This window could be unhealthy relationships, behavior patterns, habits, whatever... something that makes you vulnerable to trouble.  So, if you closed the curtain and the window, you were closing off that source of trouble, which is a very good thing.  Then, it becomes sunny on the outside, because the real cause of the problem was your own choices, perhpas, and not some outside source.  It SEEMED like all of life was against you and that your problems came from OUTSIDE, when really, you were the one allowing them entrance into your life.

It sounds as if you have already identified your weak area and have made changes to make yourself and your future more secure.  Pray for wisdom, that God will lead you into straight paths.  Always follow HIS lead.
