I need my license! what do I do?

Question

what am I supposed to do so I can get my license as soon as possible?! I know you have to take drivers ed classes and stuff, but what else, and in what order?!

i'm so confused. nobody ever explained this to me, and my parents tell me I'm supposed to be resposnible and figure it out if I want to drive... so someone give me a brief summary ??please?!?

1) get a permit if you don't have 1 already, they're usually required before you get a license unless youre 18. You have to take a written test usually composed of about 20 questions.

2) take drivers ed if you are younger than 18. at the end of drivers ed, you have to take a driving exam and if you pass that, then you can take your license test.

3) make an appointment at the dmv for your license.

4) on the day of your appointment, bring 2 forms of identification and your permit. then you take your driving test with the instructor, and depending on where you live, it depends what you have to do on the test.

you need to go through drivers ed online or in a class and take a permit test and then you will have your permit for 6 months and after that you go to the DMV and take a driving test for avout 15-20 min in a car with an insructer and they will score you and that will determine if you get your licence or not...and dont forget you need to be 15 and a half to get it well it depends on where you live and if you have anymore questions call a DMV near you or go online to their website! good luck!!!!

Well as far as I know there are many different ways you can get your license.

It depends on the state you live in and how old you are.

The best thing I can say for you to do without more information is check DMV and see what it says.

You have to have a permit 1st....take the test at the DMV...then you take lessons and THEN you can get your license

Since you have a computer, use your resources and find out what your state laws are or call the DMV or get a driver's handbook because the laws are different in each state. You don't say how old you or what state you are from but in Florida, you have to have to be 15  to take Driver's Ed and you have to get a permit before you are permitted to take the classes or to get a regular license at 16. If they offer Driver's Ed at your school, I advise you to take them.

What you'll have to do is take Drivers Ed. I am pretty sure 30 hours is required, but the place you will go to will figure that all out for you. It varies in some states whether you get your permit before you take the classes or after you complete them. Once you have your permit, you are required to do behind-the-wheel courses where you are obviously, behind the wheel with an instructor. This will also be taken care of by your drivers ed. In most states, you are required to have your instruction permit for 6 months before being able to get your license (assuming you are 16 or older). Once you have finished your drivers ed behind-the-wheel instruction, you are able to get your license. It really is not too complicated. It just takes a little bit of time. Good luck!
