Question:

I need new contacts but i don't have a current prescription, and can't afford to see an eye doc. suggestions?

I'm just getting back on my feet and desperately need the contacts but can't quite afford to visit the optoetist

Well this happened to me once so I scanned my prescription and changed the year so it would be valid.  I took it to Wal-Mart and they let me buy contacts.  The problem with this is that many places actually call and verify.  My prescription was from the military so they figured it was okay and didn't verify.

    Another idea which my friend suggested was get them in Mexico.  I don't know where you live but I live an hour from the Mexico border.  They don't require prescriptions like the U.S.A.  I think prescriptions are just a scam to make money.  I mean really contacts aren't an illegal substance like marijuana so why is a piece of plastic regulated.  

    Only in America!!

    why is any medication regulated?  why does anyone need a prescription for anything?  b/c there is risk involved.
