I need new toys for my hamster! help??

Question

my hamster seems very picky. i gave her all sorts of different kinds of those mineral chews and she'll chew for about a second and then drop it and never mess with it again. (and believe me i've tried like 5 different kinds)

she also doesn't like toliet paper rolls. which is weird because all my hamsters in the past have loved them.

please help i was thinking about going to petsmart or petco this weekend to try some more toys. suggestions on chewing toys? and treats?(include sites please so i can see)

also if you have any ideas on stuff at home to give her that would be great.

i just want my hamster to be happy

You could try:

-Paper bags

-Newspaper

-Socks

-Boxes

-Paper Towels

-Towels

Just look around your house for anything that you can spare that is cardboard, paper, or cloth.

I have a Syrian hamster who loves the treats that are designed to hang from the cage, especially the fruit ones.  She too doesn't like the mineral blocks, she had a few bites but doesn't touch it at all now.  You don't mention whether your hamster has an exercise ball, my hamster loves hers and even though you're only supposed to put them in it for 20 minutes if i take her out she starts gnawing at her bars so I leave her in it for about 45 minutes to an hour, obviously she is supervised!  Try giving her milk/yoghurt drops they are little round treats a bit like milky bar buttons.  Also take a look at the PetSmart website www.petsmart.com, this may help you decide, then you can go and buy and come back to play with your hamster!  Good Luck and I hope this as helped.

toilet tubes they great toys u want some tubes/climbing tools/stuff to climb on and under etc...

some good treats are Snix Snax, Yogurt Dips, & Yogies. Some good toys are Knot Knibblers & Vitacraft treat sticks you can find all of these things at petco.
