I need of a Long Board?

I'm trying to learn how to surf (again) i havent done it in like 15 years, and thought i should start out with a long board to make it a little easier, i just dont know where to find a good used board, any ideas? (in San Diego, CA)

  2. Check out Surfride.  They have a huge selection of boards.  I've only been to their location in Oceanside, but I've heard their Solana Beach store has a big selection too.  The guys are super helpful and will set you up with a board that fits your needs.

  3. Probably go to some garage sales and see if you can find one in good shape for a low price. I have seen many at garage sales before.

  4. Most shops in San Diego have used boards.  For new boards, Nezzy Surfboards is a quality shop near you and has a lot of great designs.  Their N3 longboard works well in the 8'+ range.  You can take a look at all their designs on their web site.  You can also find many lower price foreign made boards at nearly every shop around if you aren't ready to commit to a quality board yet.  If you want a lesson first, try Leucadia Surf School.
