I need opinions (good or bad) about PayPal, what's your experience been like?

I've been researching the "safety" of PayPal, and I've read MANY horror stories about accounts being "frozen" for months on end for absolutely no reason. These are usually larger transactions ($1,000 or more), and apparently PayPal is freezing the account "just in case" there are chargeback fees from credit cards. Meanwhile, the "seller" isn't recieving their money and angry e-mails start, etc.

I make small purchases online, here and there. Certainly nothing over $100. I really like the idea of PayPal, but now I'm a little worried. I need to know if anyone has experienced problems with smaller transactions, or just in general.

Ive been using Paypal for years and I have never lost money from it or have had my account frozen.  A relative of mine got scammed thru Ebay on their Paypal account by they got reimbursed all the money that got taken.  If you do make large transactions try using cashiers checks or money orders, those are easy to obtain and go right to the seller.
