i want to start my own buisness just painting kids rooms. do i need a license or just insurance. thanks

No need for any license. Advertising your artistic education and other projects you've done well, always proves your creative license and professionalism, lol.



Have you considered becoming Incorporated? Being Incorporated just means if you find your self in a situation where someone is suing you, they can only sue your business assets, and not your person assets.  I don't see that as a problem in painting children's rooms, unless you use lead paint and a child licks the wall, lol. Don't use paint made in china, lol.

Probably just insurance, you wouldn't be actually working with kids (they would be elsewhere while you paint and you would mostly deal with the parents i guess) so you should be fine
