  1. Check with the local fire dept.  maybe they offer tours or will bring a truck to the house (some small towns will do this).

  2. Have a fire chief pinata for his party, visit this website for game, decoration, crafts and recipes ideas http://www.pinatas.com/Firefighter_Party...

  3. Water balloon fights,  squirt guns, sidewalk chalk to draw each others full body outlines,  obstacle  course in the back yard for them to race through, bob for apples, scavenger hunt around your street or neighborhood (warn your neighbors)  Have some 'boy' prizes for the winners like a match box car, whoopie cushion, marbles, play dough.  Check out the local Dollar Store.

End up with a "Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae Bar" and send them home with a smile!!

  4. If there is a Cold Stone Creamery near you they will do a party for about $6 a kid. They get a behind the scenes tour and a chance to make their own treat of a scoop of the flavor of their choice with one mix in. You supply any other food or drink and can even decorate if you want. It's air conditioned!

  5. why dont you get like plastic cop hats and/or firefighter hats and pass them out to his friends that come to the party. if you go to curciut city or whatever that party store is called you can get alot of things cheap. sorry, i'm not good at thinking of games to play. goodluck. =)

  6. i would say not to worry about things like tableclothes and napkins, just focus on what your son likes. (but also focus on your budget, if you have one) You could even due red plates and silverware for firefighters, or blue for cops. Those things dont even matter to the little kids. Get firefighter themed goodie bags, or maybe even spring for a firetruck cake. Just dont concentrate totally on the things that end up in the trash can ;]

  7. My grandson had his 4th birthday at the local fire station.  They had a room to use for the cake & pizzas;   the firemen gave a little safety lecture to the kids, and the kids were allowed to climb all over the engines & paramedics van.  They even hung a pinata from the fire truck's ladder for them! ... My daughter got those plastic fire hats for favors.... and Kroger did a cupcake cake in the shape of a fire engine
