I need passport help! how long does it take?

If I apply for a passport now, August, can i get it by december?

We're traveling soon too and renewing ours by mail. If you're renewing, it can take up to 2-3 weeks and you must still have your passport to trade in. New passports can take up to a month  and you must apply in person. You can also put a rush order for an extra fee.
