  1. Well as for Sightseeing you have many choices.  It really depends on what you are interested in.  I'm from Montreal and I haven't yet explored all that the city as to offer.  If your talking about Quebec city, well you have the old Quebec that's very beautiful and rich in history.  The Chateau Frontenac is really something to see as well as the Chambre des Communes and Plaines d'Abraham.

If your going to Montreal you should see the Notre-Dame Basilica and the Oratoire St-Joseph.  The old port of Montreal is a very nice place to walk, shop, eat and shop.  You should also visit the underground shopping center downtown, you can shop for days without ever going on the surface.  For nigh-time entertainment go to Crescent Street which is full of nightclubs.

see this link, it's full of info

    http://wikitravel.org/en/Quebec

As for the language issue, in Montreal you'll have no problem getting understood downtown, maybe a little more difficult if you get out of Montreal, but people will generally be able to understand you, only less.  In Quebec city it can be a little more difficult but the majority will have basic english skills. (we all learn it in school)

What I love about it? hum...well Canada is the best! I love everything about it (except maybe the political mess in Quebec)  People are friendly and passionate.

Make sure you try Poutine (french fries in gravy with cheese), it really is our national meal.

Have a wonderful visit, and....welcome back to the motherland ;-)

  2. Personally, I find the small towns in Quebec to be very nice.

Of course you have Quebec City

But like I said..small towns do it for me.

Food is pretty different... taste is different. Go with an open

pallet. I love the food. There are so many things

that the US does not have or serve.

Quebec is typically french but there is English

but it seems like it not used as much. My take only..

As we know there are all different people

so go with an open mind and

enjoy! Who know what you'll learn.

    Try

St Hubert Chicken (you'll know when you get it)

    Have a pizza (again)

    Order

frites sauce et poulet avec fomage

    heaven on a plate !!!  :-)

    Enjoy your trip
