  1. You can switch to CFL lighting, but you now have to deal with the mercury disposal in the bulb.  You can send it to a landfill, where the leachate will ultimately reach groundwater if it is an improperly designed landfill.

So, I am not sure CFL is the way to go.

Plants need CO2 to live, so if we upset the ecosystem by eliminating it overnight, then nature will have to fill in the vacuum, probably through a worldwide release of volcanic activity which will create a layer of pretty dust in the atmosphere and reduce global warming, hurricanes, and other worldwide events overnight.

So, the best thing to do is to maintain your current lifestyle, because that is what is practiced by Al Gore, John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy and other lying liberals.

If they refuse to change their lifestyles by ridding themselves of huge mansions that they do not need, jetting around the country in charters, etc...., then why should you change?  Are you less entitled to freedom of choice than they are?

    Are you?

  2. I pledge to reduce my carbon footprint.

Since implementing this pledge I have already converted my electricity supply to that of one from a renewable source. Saving 4.46 tonnes of Co2 annually from my household.

You should check your local electricity suppliers website, they may offer this switch for free. The more people that sign up the more pressure that is exerted on this company to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels for production.

I have installed all CFL bulbs throughout my home to reduce my need for any electricity renewable or not, and I am currently installing Cavity Wall Insulation, which should reduce my heating oil consumption by up to 40%, or a reduction of about 2.30 tonnes of Co2 annually from my household.

I pledge in the future to install a solar panel to assist in providing hot water.
