I need poem on "If I were an Angel" for 8 year old.?

if i where an angel in the sky i would fly

if i where an angel the world would be mine

if i where an angel, i'd have tie died wings

if i where an angel i'd forever be free

I am your little angel

and I'm sent from far away

To cheer you up if you are sad

or had a rotten day.

So when you find a home for me

make sure that it is near,

  For when you to need to talk things out

I can lend an ear.

I'm here to make you smile

when you feel a little blue,

Just look into my eyes

and I'll smile right back at you.

Or when your feeling lonely,

and no one seems to care,

Remember angels do,

and we are everywhere.



If you are scared and don't feel safe,

and don't know what to do,

talk to me

and I will get you through.

Now find that special place for me

deep inside your heart,

And I will always be there for you

If I were an Angel,

I'd fly in the sky,

I'd pick up my harp and fly real high,

I'd visit the stars late at night,

I'd race the wind to give it a fright,

If I were an angel I'd visit my home,

I'd tell my parents that they're never alone,

I'd play them a song to make them sleep,

I'd give them a kiss for their memory to keep.

If I were an Angel I'd kiss you goodnight,

Play you a song and turn off the light,

If I were an Angel this I would do,

protect your love and watch over you.

I wasn't sure why you need this poem so I tried to keep it kid friendly.  As for the meaning of the poem the child is the Angel.  Hope this helps!

but reality will set in somehow

if I died and went to h**l

I couldn't be that angel
