my info i live in ohio it can go from 90 degrees in summer has got to 104 degrees in winter it gets below 0 so i wanna build a pond to make it look nicer in my yard and so i dont have to spend soo much money on fish tanks i have 2 common goldfish and 2 fancy thanks for all the help...

best advise i can give you is to google your question, there is so much you can do! there are some really good web sites that will give you all the help you require, we did and we have a great pond with lights etc, good luck
