I need programming help plz?

Question

Erm, let's see, i have 0 knowledge about prgramming except i know its a set of commands and directions and stuff that you tell the computer to do. So does anyone know of a good website that teaches programming for newbies that’s easy and fun to use? I don’t really like my programming class at my high school, half the kids including me think its boring. Oh yeah, I want to learn it because I want to make games, and I realized that programming alone could almost create an entire game. So help please??? Thanks!

You say you have zero knowledge, but you're either taking a class or have taken one.  Start with a language.  I might start with python. Start with a tutorial. Write a few short snippets and test them.  Write something slightly longer, and so on. Check out the PyGames entries as example.

Attitude is everything.  If you're not into it, you won't spend the time you need to spend.  Engineering is an art form.  Art requires enormous time.

Unfortunately, a website won't teach you programming - it'll only teach you syntax. Anyone of reasonable intelligence can figure out how to format a statement in a given programming language, but creating a program is a whole different thing. It's like trying to learn how to drive from a book - probably not gonna happen. The only way to learn to program is to create programs.

I'm not sure of your age, but you should definitely look into a good school rather than teaching yourself programming, it isn't easy.its far better to be taught by a real TEACHER, they can teach you more than any book or website can ever offer. Math, science definitely has to be your strongest ability so if your weak in that start studying and keep studying. Most games are based with C++ so if your wondering where to start, pick up a book called C++ For Dummies it offers a world on knowledge with simple explanation so if you have NO knowledge its broken down so its easier to understand.
