I need rat Help Please!!!?

Question

My rat has lived in a pretty small cage since he was a month or two old. We just moved him into a very big cage. He seems unhappy. Could he be nurvos about the large space?

he's probably just scared, but it's really good that you moved him to a bigger cage, if the rat lives in too small of a cage it will get depressed, could go insane, and shortens they're life spand.

well it can be, i read in the books that changing his environment can cause stress like changing his diet and such. he might be nervous as well because he's not used to the big space its new for him. Its like when you were a little kid going to a new school its a total new environment and people you will be nervous for your first day not knowing everyone.

He probably just needs time to adjust.

Also, I would strongly consider getting him another rat friend, because rats are very social animals and get lonely by themselves.
