I need really nice ice skating music for a competition...best with words?

  1. Words aren't good for competitions. Instrumental music is the best. I've skated to music from Jurassic Park, Beauty and the Beast, Practical Magic, Gypsy, and All That Jazz. Your best bet is to go onto Amazon and look for some movie soundtracks that you like. If you like kind of flowy and graceful music start with a soundtrack that has that kind of music and listen to the little clips they have. From there they have links to similar soundtracks.


  2. It is best not to use lyrics.  This allows the music to be used in ISA, USFSA, ISU and events hosted by other national bodies.  Additionally many find lyrics distracting, especially if it is a popular song.  For popular songs, even if the music sounds great and lyrics are edited to be shorter, many find this to be disconcerting as they know and expect the next lyric by the artist.  There are many choices for music, mostly with out lyrics, here: http://www.sonicedgemusic.org/pcmusic.ht...
