I need recipes with milk?

i have over a gallon of milk that's about to expire. i wanna use it up to make anything. i hate wasting food. are there any good recipes with milk to make desserts, appetizers, or any kind of food.

  1. this will help use some of it, Its a baked potato soup with butter, green onions, bacon, cheddar cheese sour cream, and seasonings.

    2/3 cup butter

    2/3 cup flour

    7 cups milk

    4 large baking potatoes, baked, cooled, peeled and cubed, about 4 cups

    4 green onions, thinly sliced

    10 to 12 strips bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled

    1 1/4 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese

    1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream

    3/4 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon pepper

    In a large Dutch oven or stockpot over low heat, melt butter. Stir in flour; stir until smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until sauce has thickened. Add potatoes and onions. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until soup begins to bubble.

    Reduce heat; simmer gently for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; stir until cheese is melted. Serve baked potato soup immediately.

    serves 6 to 8.

You can make some pudding - with some mix from Jello.  But with that much milk, that will be a lot of pudding and/or other dishes.  What you can do is put it in small covered containers so, you can freeze it, and use it as you need it.  Make sure you don't use glass container, for it might break when it expand as it freezes.  Try to use the frozen milk within 2-3 months - for cooking only.  How about frozen pudding pops, something to think about.

  5. A gallon of milk is an awful lot when most recipes just call for a cup.  You are going to have some waste unless you invite the neighbourhood kids over for milk and oreos.

  8. Firstly for some milk make yogurt .You can easily store this in fridge for few days.

    With this yogurt you can make a healthy asian drink 'LASSI' with sugar or salt.

    Take chilled thick yogurt and add little water, put sugar or salt and just whisk in mixer.Serve chill by adding ice.

    If you are making of salt then add little roasted cumin (jeera powder) to enhance the flavor.

    Secondly prepare 'COTTAGE CHEESE' (Paneer)

    Boil milk and alow to cool for 5 minutes then add vinegar or lemon juice 4-5 spoons keep aside for sometime it will start cuddling(small piece).Take muslin cloth or normal cloth and remove all the water and make completely dry.Set in plate keep aside till it will form one piece which will be soft and smooth.Cut into piece put in air tight container and store in the freezer for months.Make curry out of this or just shallow fry and have as snack.    

    Thirdly this is dessert asian style (Sheer Kurma)

    Take a little ghee make it hot put brown roasted Sevai (Vermicelli) stir on medium flame for 5 minutes then put all the dry fruits pieces and cook for 5 minutes.Later add milk and bring to a boil keep stiring put sugar, if you wish add evaporated milk or carnation and cook till medium thick consistency and turns into cream golden color.Serve hot.
