I need serious help?

Question

I'm planning a party and i don't know what kind of things to do for it. like what kind of food, music and stuff, i just want everyone to have a good time. any help is greatly appreciated!

oh and it's a summer party if that makes any difference.

I would do a bbq...like chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers. And have everyone bring a dish...potato salad, fruit salad, macaroni salad...pretty much just cold stuff, maybe like meatballs...Chips and dip...

Music get people to bring cds and just have someone be in charge of music---changing cds when its time or I'd even skip the cds and just turn on a radio station thats neutral like classic rock or something like that

If you've got a decent size yard try and find like a volleyball net that has badminton with it to, set up a spot where people can dance and see if anyone you know has some cool yard games you can borrow.

have a potluck and have a prize for the favorite dish?

a scavenger hunt?

make some mix cds and just play them on a cd changer  or hire a friend's band?

oh and usually a third of the number invited show up.  so if you want 50, invite 150, ect.

Get a person to play music have a whole bunch of Cd's so people can choose get a whole bunch of chips and unhealthy stuff Doritos Cheetos popcorn then put the different choices on a table and let people decide. Have a varietie of stuff so people can have what the want.Also pizza get a lot of pizza pepperoni and cheese those are two popular ones.

Well.. since it would be nice to serve food that everyone could agree with.  Go for ALL kinds of food, but make it simple or else your going to end up paying alot of money and you dont want that.

So just make some sandwhiches, get like 6 bags of chips, and get 2 kinds of dips, Sour Cream and Salsa.    As a second choice go for some salad for those people who want something light, or their watching their figure.  You can make your own salad, which would be better because it would be more fresh, or to save time you can buy your own, use Ranch dressing for the salad because thats a common favourite.  And as a last choice, serve something like either a meat like steak, chicken, or ribs, or something like tacos. If you serve tacos be sure to include some rice.

ONE LAST idea... do an old favourite... burgers and hotdogs! mostly everyone enjoys those!  be sure to server chips with them though... I hope i helped you!  Good Luck!
