I need so help so please help me?

ok well i am in color guard for our schools marching band. And we are doing a solo group. And i really wanna be in it. Its mostly dancing. and Rifles. I did pretty good at pre try outs. But i wanna practice more. I danced when i was little and i just took it back up. Now for the next 2 weeks i need to do dance exercises. I need help their. i cant find an types of exercise or stretches!! Can you help me and find some or give me ideas!!

  1. I&#039;ve mostly/only been trained in the ballet technique, So hopefully you had some ballet or some familiarity and can know what I&#039;m talking about.

    Some things you can do to get your body going are:

    Grand Battements- (the big kicks) do four to the front, 4 side, 4 back, and 4 side again. Then do on the other leg. These help to stretch and strengthen.

    Tendus- starting in 1st position, do 8 en croix (front, side, back, side again) it will help to strengthen your feet.

    Plies- 2 demi, 1 grande, 2 demi, 1 grande. Do in 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th position. This will stretch and strengthen.

    Do crunches to strengthen your abs. And to strengthen your lower abs as well, I sit on the edge of my bed (with my legs on the bed) and lean back all the way past 180 degrees , then bring myself back up, this works out your abs alot,  be careful and make sure you have enough ab strength to do it safely.

    You can also do some type of cardiovascular activity to just bring yourself up to the challenge altogether. Like jumproping, running, bicycling, etc.
