  1. mix green food color into some fluff and use it as glue. create a cherrios tree or wreath and have the kids decorate it with gum drops and pieces of candy.

collect pine cones and have the kids decorate them with kids  paint, tie a ribbon and stick them to the ceiling for the season.

Glue cotton balls as snow men and snow balls ..

Use strips of paper dipped in liquid starch to create a piniata. Place the wet strips on the blown up balloon, let them dry and pop the balloon. Decorate the ball like the planet earth.

Remember, not all children celebrate the same holiday.

Quanza, Chaunika, Christmas, Yule .. So call a wreath a "winter circle of friendship" and make little friendship trees with the cheerios

  5. Is this a public school? You can be sued for saying Christmas or using any form of that word. Please refer to it as "non-denominational celebration day of miscellaneous events." To avoid a law suit.

J/K I hate stupid lawyers that get these kinda rulings passed.

    Here's an idea:

Make some chains of paper rings that can be pulled apart one at a time as a countdown to Christmas.

  6. Make christmas cookies...use the shapes to cut out in the dough and than put sprinkles on them :) Man i used to love that. Also, for a craft, get clothes pins and get some tissue paper, glitter, and gold pipe cleaners to make snow angels! :)

  7. Glue

    small paper plate(or construction paper)

    paint

    glitter

and old puzzles with missing pieces.

glue puzzle pieces around the paper plate in a wreath style and let dry.  paint it and put glitter on it and then put a picture of the child inside tie a ribbon or glue a ribbon on it and you have an ornament

  8. I recently heard of a good idea.  Quick and easy.

Each child should bring in a favorite family photo standard size.

You will need Circular, Wooden Curtain Rings.

Small items and paint to decorate the rings.

After decorating the rings frame the photo with the ring and paste it down.  Waaalllllaaaaa!  instant Christmas Ornament.

Also, don't listen to deltafox... up there.  As a Mother or client of the public school system you can say whatever you want.  It is only those employed by the school systems that are forced to be Secular!!!!

  9. A sugar cone upside down frosted with green frosting and a variety of sprinkles makes a cute decorated tree. We did this last year and it turned out great!

  10. I would make a basic sugar cookie. Cut them out before baking into the shape of a Christmas Tree. Then make some green frosting for coloring the tree. Then get candy and sprinkles for the decorations. Let the children decorate them themselves.

  11. Rice Crispy squares with food coloring and make them into round balls and stack them in a fashion so that they look like an xmas tree...or whatever...

then eat them. Also. Dress up and pin the ornament on the tree....

Make a snowman/christmas tree out of construction paper.

    Decorate Christmas Cookies.
