I am 19 years old, and i dont have a good job. i make about 300 every 2 weeks and im just so sick of living with my grandparents or whoever i can. I cant find a career that would work for me. Im not the smartest in the bunch so its hard for me to do the best i can. so my next move needs to be the right one or close to it because its hard enough for me to pass a class as it is. I dont want to pull myself farther in a hole then i already am. So i guess what im asking is what are some good careers out there that someone can live off of comfortably? And could you also share some jobs that got you through school with descent pay?

Please, im to the end of my rope, idk what to do anymore :(

  1. You need to go to your local technical school (look in your phone book) there are also national ones like ITT tech, U of Phoenix, Everest U, etc. Talk to a career councilor there - so many careers - they can help you focus. You HAVE to have an education/skill to make good money.

Also many fast food places have career tracks if you are willing and reliable. Usually you take small tests and get raises along the way.

Stop whining and take control of your own future - get out there and do it! Good luck!

  2. Well, maybe you should by asking yourself; What is it I like to do or good at? If it's something that you can build a career on then try it. However, if there's nothing that comes to mind then here are some careers that can make you some good money although most fields will require some degree of studying:

    Computer field

    Medical Field (Nurse)

You might also visit your local college and speak to a career counselor. They might be able to point you in a direction you can start with.

  3. well my mom went las vegas college and became a medical biller they gave her a job right out of school ut the catch is u have to take a test every two years on all the medical stuff  i worked at wendys and made 400 every two weeks before i got put on bed rest because i was having preterm contractions so any fast food isnt that good so u can also try getting an office job or even postal jobs they pay pretty good  u can go to www.usajobs.gov

  4. It may sound stupid, but working in a shop pays a bit. Once you have worked in a couple of shops and showed yourself to be a worthy worker, you can move up to somewhere more fancy so you get payed even more. :)

  5. Dont worry, start your own online business and visit this website for full details.
