    ok:

    the helicopter moves at a rate of 6 feet per second. This means every second the helicopter moves by 6 feet. So after 1 second it has moved 6 feet, after 2 seconds it has moved a total of 12 feet, and so on.

    So the SPEED is 6 feet/second.

    HOWEVER, the velocity takes into account what direction it is going. Since it is going DOWN, this means that the velocity is -6 feet/second in y-axis (y-axis is up and down, x-axis is left and right).

  3. v= fx

    velocity= frequency x wavelength

    velocity is the same as speed..
