  1. around where i live, most of the teams use a 5 as an outside, 2 as a high middle, 1 as a quick set to middle, and a 9 for a back set. there are more, but those are the main ones teams around here use.

  2. Well the court zones vary depending on what team you play for. On most teams when you go to hit a 5 calls for a set to the right side behind the setter, a 2 is the middle, and a 4 is the left side(also known as outside). A 1 is also known as a quick set which is not the normal hit for the middle. The back row middle is usually called a pipe. Left and right side back row have lots of different names. The actual court zones are usually 1 for right back 2 for middle back 3 for left back and  4 for left back. Middle front can be 5 or 6 and same with right front, it all depends on what your coach says. Hope I helped!

  3. here's a picture of the zones:)

  4. a set to the outside is a 4

    a shoot is typically called a 6

a high set to the middle is a 2

a quick to the middle is a 1

the back set is a 5

a set to the back row is a 10
