I want to go and talk to the coach. I just want to know if my son is really a bad player or if he needs more training. I really want to see him him play because this is really a dream of his. He wants to be a highschool coach, but if he never gets to play he will never get to have his dream. I don't want to cause a ruckus, but I just need to know if I should continue to encourage him or maybe have him explore other options. Please give me your opion on whether I should talk to the coach or just sit back and let it all play itself out.

  1. Its hard to say cause i am in that same way for basketball at my school but i think u should talk to the coach once and take his advice on what he can do to play more and then tell your son and then let it be

  2. mate I'd go n talk to the coach cos he's the one that's trying to wreck your sons dream. good or not good he should get at lest one full game defiantly if the team he plays for is good n haven't lost a game look i play Aussie rules back in Australia Lucky I'm a good play i get to play every weekend. but my best friend Jake who plays for the same team as me  and unluckily our coach done same thing to what ur son's coach doing to him.well one day playing match and if we won we will make it to da finals and lyk always my friend was sitting on the bench. so me and my teamates had a talk about this. so we went to the coach at halftime and we said let Jake play he said no so we we said again let Jake play and once again he said no well by time we got in the field so we did and i saw Jake he was upset so i said so i said to my self i should be with Jake so i headed to the bench and i sit next to jake..then the coach said...WHAT DA h**l ARE YOU DOING..and i said what coach i can't be stuff so my coach why and i said well my friend not playing and all of my teamates was seeing what i was doing and then in about  10 secs all our players went to the bench then we said "let jake play" let jake play" then all the mums and dads joined in then finely the coach said he cloud play fast forward the story a little bid ok 5 secs to go 1 point down and da ball was in our goal line the umpier thown the ball in da air my teamate his name is josh got the ball he pass it to jake there was 2 secs to go so jake kick the as hard as he colud and guess what jake kick the goal we needed be in the finals and we won the game!!!! and i'd seen the look on the coaches face and all of us walked to da coach and we all siad"WE TOLD U SO" so yer talk to ur sons coach cos if it wasn't for jake we woludn't have won that game!!

  3. talk to th coach n also ur son. If its been 2 years with no game time it doesnt sound like he really is part of th team. Dont do nothing.

  4. Change schools, play for another team or play another game.

Otherwise if he has his heart set on Football, tell him to keep prticing until he can Bend it like Beckham

  5. your son has been doing this for 2 years now if he cant see somehthing that is making him want to quit then he is haveing a good time let him be

you learn more about coaching football from the sidelines then you do on the field,  if he keeps wanting to go don't get in the way - coaches hate parents!

talk to your son. not the coach
