  1. Hey I'm in grade 11 and I've been homeschooling since grade 8. I absolutely love it, for the first 2 years I didn't really enjoy it cause I never got to see my friends and get out really but since grade 10 its been cool. Here are some tips for chosing a cyberschool,

What Questions should I ask when chosing an online school?

In order to help you determine if Online Learning is for you, we have compiled a list of several questions you should ask yourself about the Online Learning School / Program you are considering:

    1) Does the school have a successful track record?

    2) How long has the school existed?

    3) Does the school discuss the pros and cons of Online Learning or are they simply interested in having you register?

    4) Does it introduce their teachers … share their qualifications?

    5) Does the school share their enrollment numbers – how many students do they have?

    6) Can students learn at their own pace?

    7) Does it offer good communication / interaction between teachers and students?

8)Does the school encourage parent involvement?

    9) Does it school offer flexibility in course selection and timetables?

    10) Can students receive individualized, one-on-one education?

    11) What kind of support is offered if the student or family needs help?

    12) Is technical support part of the program?

Students who are successful in an Online Learning environment are self-motivated, have the support of their parents and are willing to learn how to communicate using new and exciting electronic tools.

Self motivation + Supportive parents + Willingness to learn     new skills = SUCCESS in Online Learning

Heres a link to my online school check it out they really are a great school. For Elementary, Secondary, and Adult ED plus you can do it from virtually anywhere we have students all over BC, Alberta, and even outside of Canada, 1 student from like California and Austria too.

  2. My daughter used PA Leadership Charter school last year, and I plan on enrolling her 2 little brothers for next year (if I don't pull them out and start THIS year!) PA Leadership is great.. Teachers and staff easy to get ahold of.. any problems handles quickly, and entire system very user friendly....

EDIT: Yep.. we enrolled daughter after public school had started last year
