For me there's about 11 more days left until I can go to school I want to be fast so I can y'know be the fastest in class. I can run through a long block (about 40 squares on the sidewalk) in 21 seconds. Can you give me some advice to get even faster in that time? I'd like it to be something I can do at home and not have to buy much to be faster, thanks!

  1. just continue running and do alot of sprints. that is what my cross country coach has us do. build up endurance to

  2. Hold your hands straight, lengthen your stride and see if it helps- wear clothes that are not baggy and that are tight, get new trainers? I always feel that they make me faster although I doubt they will.

Other than that eat carbohydrate- you could even get professionally made shoes!!

Practice and also try to beat your fastest time again and again to make yourself faster with will power- other than that i cannot help you in the slightest!

  3. instead of punching the air when you run try to hold your hand straight. That will help you cut the wind instead of punching it. You will be a lot faster and it will be easiler.

  4. Sweetie is right. Make sure your hands are not clenched, you want them to be as straight as possible. Don't look behind you as this sometimes slows you down. When you near the end stick your head out and pray for the best! :)

  5. What event are you trying to run that may help me help you. But in order to run fast in any event from the 100m to the 3 mile you need a base to work off of. By a base I mean easy running. Speed work all the time doesn't help you get faster by much go out and start with an easy 30 minute run and as you build the ability you lungs and heart will get stronger and you will be able to run faster and longer. Good luck.

  6. you want your hands and your body relaxed your hands shouldn't be held strait or tight just keep them in a relaxed possition like when your standing still. the same with your head and neck you'll go faster if you relaxe while you run and let your body use all its energy on running.

    good luck!
