I need some advice on how to make the varsity basketball team. pleazz help me!!?

im in the 10th grade and i am going out 4 basketball 4 the 1st time. i can reallly play but i dont know if i am good enuff. pleazz giv me advice

first of all, u have 2 be able to do basic fundamentals. there is nothing more coaches love than palyers who know fundametal things really well. another thing is 2 ALWAYS paly ur hardest. coaches hate when they see a player who is not giving 100% EVERY play.  the last thing is to encourage ur teammates and be a team player. if u get the ball, dont look 2 score right away. do what is best for the team. coaches like to have team players. and have fun!!!

one definite thing that coaches look for in a player is basketball IQ, ie. knowing defensive and offensive fundamentals.  especially defensive fundamentals.  you want to make the team, learn how to play certain positions in defense and how to stop offensive players.  trust me you'll be playing lots of minutes in no time.
