  1. usually any toe or foot strengthening exercises will help you get ready but your teacher knows best and sometimes its about time too. my teacher said you have to have been training on demi pointe for at least two years.Have you been practicing for two years? If not maybe thats the only thing your teacher is waiting for. i hope this helps!

  2. Well, first of all I wouldn't rush your teacher into letting you go en pointe sooner than she says. She knows when your ready. I went en pointe about a year ago and these are some exercises I did to strengthen my ankles.

    1. Start in parallel, plie, relevae, straighten your legs, and lower. Than reverse it. Elevae, plie, drop your heels, straighten your legs. Repeat in first and second positions.

    2. Do different Relavae and Elavae exercises. These help quite a bit.

    3. Echappes, do them in every way you know how.

    4. Bourees. I honestly do not enjoy bourees that much. But my teacher had us doing them every single day.

    5. Pe Ques. These where fun, we would do them along the bar, we usually ended up Pe Queing around the room.

    6. Passes. The help very much

That's all I can give you. I'm pretty sure I didn't spell anything right, except for passes, that on I'm sure of. I hope it helps. Doing them everyday will help. Remember go en pointe when your teacher says its time. Until do these exercises and the exercises your teacher gives you to have as much ankle strength as you can. HAVE FUN!

  3. Well you have to wait until november but u can use a theraband to point and flex your feet DO TONS OF RELEVE'S  they really help build strength and i start pointe in september be sure to take pics of your first class and post and have fun en pointe!!

  4. Lots and lots of plie releve.  It's tedious, but it works.  The main goal is to strengthen your feet and ankles so you don't injure yourself by going en pointe too soon.
