I need some color suggestions?

The wedding isn't until September 18, 2010 but I can't help but to go ahead and start planning. I am an artist and I've never really met a color I didn't like so I'm kind of having a hard time narrowing it down to just a few colors. So any color suggestions that will work well with that time of year will be greatly appreciated. I really want something elegant and romantic, I was originally going to go with red but I just feel like it's overdone. Anyway, thanks in advance for everyone's suggestions.

  1. If you like red, take it and make it your own. A lot of people do red with black accents or champagne.  You could do different shades of red that work well together, go with a red and orange or red and yellow for warm colors.  Even stick with shades of red and pink.  I actually haven't seen red a lot at weddings I have been to.  The only one I saw was burgandy with orange and browns for a fall wedding.  So if you want to do red and black or champagne or gold or whatever, do it.  No two weddings are alike, even if the colors are.

  2. Definitely take advantage of the autumn colors.  Go with a deep burgundy red, orange, yellow and add a little deep purple and blue into it.  It looks fantastic in person and in pictures.  Plus you can use all the other great things that are around during fall.  Pumpkins, gourds, leaves etc.  If I had my wedding to do over again I would plan it for that time of year.

  3. Hi dee,

first, i want to say congratulation to you..So, you can't decided what color you gonna choose, well i'm not married yet (hopefully soon!) but i'm gonna try to help you anyway. i was at my best friend's wedding a week ago she chose green(soft green) and white(just white) for the tent (coz out door) and also with the same color for the seats (for the guests) it was very lovely and i think no matter what color you gonna use it depends how you gonna decorate it, so GOOD LUCK!

  4. It is now the end of August and all the stores are stocked with fall decorations. September is the perfect time to have a beautiful fall wedding with all the fall colors. If you are an artist you are familiar with all the beautiful bronze and gold colors that scream fall! I can't think of a more beautiful wedding because fall is my favorite season!!! Congrats!

  5. we share a wedding date. I have chosen Apple red and burnt orange. I love Red and I'm not a fan of brown or ivory. I think green would look to Christmas. so I opted for Orange. I'm having a fall themed wedding so the orange would fit in perfect. also throwing in shades of yellow green and some brown for the reception so it fits in with Fall. so if you want to do a theme wedding pick colors in your theme. Or just pick your favorite color and have your guy do the same. if it looks good together use it. if not then just throw a bunch of names in a hat and choose one and then pick another color. LOL

    Congrats
