  1. Definitely it should be in a neon color. How about "Seeing the world from another angle." Then "Walking for Ian Jakob" and "Walking for Autism Support".  You could put a logo of a diamond on it - a big prism. Or you could use a bunch of little shoe prints running across the chest and down one arm.

Or you could just label it "Ian Jakob's Fans" or something like that - something positive for Ian to relate with.

  2. you could probably make the shirt colorful with bright colors like light red, and/or light blue, light orange, or yellow, and if its an event where there will be donations, you could put a saying like support autism, or something like that, and sence its a walk for your son, you could put a picture of your son on the back of the t-shirt with his name above or below the picture, i dont know if there is a budget, but i hope this helps a little and gives you some ideas

  3. Maybe put his name as the logo on a cartoon shoe, or many shoes to symbolize "walking"

    good luck...very cool

  4. We did t-shirts for our walk, they were black and we ironed on, a logo that we made. it was a green puzzle piece and a purple puzzle piece we added hands and smily faces to them, and underneath it said "Breanna's Buddies" It turned out great. We got the shirts at Michaels and just made our own iron ons on the computer.

For Ian, alliteration would be like Ian's Amigos. You can google all kinds of images, to download. Try a few of his favorite things, and maybe go to http://www.inspirational-quotes.info/dre...

Patrick Henry said "I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past" If you shorted that to "I like the dreams of the future..." and put a picture of Ian, that would be very sweet, and inspirational.

  5. Not original, but I like "When you have seen one Autistic person/child, you have seen ONE autistic person/child"

Don't you get frustrated when you are told your child or you don't LOOK autistic? Or you have eye contact so you can't be autistic? It is an invisible misability

I saw some buttons that say 'autism rocks' which I disliked. Though I am content or even prefer to be autistic, I don't think that is appropriate. Is it not to say something like fantastic?

I have never seen, but like "Autistics Rock" because they are all the greatest for surviving and even thriving. Not to mention, lots of us rock and it is great for allowing brainwaves to undulate.

  6. "I" Know "I" Can.  (Use the train from "I think I can".)  Have him draw pictures with fabric paint.  My child decorates her own t-shirts for summer camp.  She wear a  yellow tee everyday and has her initial on the back for safety.  Counselors remember her because she ALWAYS has the same yellow tees.

  7. Have a look at Support Tees for some Autism t-shirt design ideas ...

  8. "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"?....good luck to you & your son

  9. One of my favorite sayings is My Name is Ian not Autistic. Then you could also transfer your son's picture below the words.
