I need some device or something to help me connect the satellite and cable together?

I have a plasma tv and the house is fairly new. please help thank you!!

  1. There may be a better answer, but I don't think there is an easy way to "combine" them in one cable.

    Your TV has multiple inputs for this very reason.  If you have a "box" for the satellite and a "box" for the cable, just use the highest resolution output for each "box" and plug that into the TV in the appropriate two inputs.  Then switch between the cable and sat using your TV remote.  Your TV will be acting as a switch.

    If your cable does not have a "box" just plug it into the antenna connection on the TV if there is one.


  2. Your satellite box should have an input for a local antenna.  Connect your cable wire to this.  Then connect the satellite box to the antenna connection on your TV.  When you want to use the cable, just shut the satellite box off and the cable will feed through the satellite box to your TV with no problem.
