I need some ebay help?

I've been registered with ebay for a year but haven't started to sell stuff until now. I have 0 rep. How much rep do you think I need to have before people trust me? How do I obtain this rep? I tried selling three things: a pokemon card, comics, more comics. All of which had no bids or watchers. I'm wasting money listing these things :( I guess no one wants them. I'm trying to sell stuff around the house. Its hard to know what to set the starting price at and how long it should run and all that. See look, here's one of my listings: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=150288526324

  1. It may be the title you're using. Look up some finished comic book listings and sort for the highest price. Then look at those titles, and try to imitate them. Aside from that, maybe some individual pictures of the comics, to let the buyers see what exactly they're getting. Start the price either higher or lower, like $20 or $0.01. And mention how wonderfully protected they are when you ship them - nothing but the best cardboard mailers! or whatever you use.

    Otherwise, perfect.

As far as rep goes, you get it if you're faithful. Just stick to anything you say, and get it done quickly. Ship it the day you receive payment, all that.

  2. My brother has sold stuff before without having a rep. Maybe you just need to find out what sells. My brother has sold music equipment and had very good luck. Older guitars, effect peddles. I sold an older cd player, laser disc player. You have to start the bidding low because you have to create interest in the item. You want to start a bidding war. If you can get a couple people in a bidding war you will be surprised how high they might go!
