I'm fourteen, and I'm thinking about starting ballet. I know it's kind of late, but I've lived overseas all my life and never got the chance, but we moved back to the states and now the chance to do what i've always dreamed is sitting in front of me, so I'd like to be a bit ready when I start.

Could someone, who has experience on this, list some good exercises which will help flexibility in the legs and the needed basics in ballet?

Thnx alot :)

  1. It's not too late to start- all you have to do is enroll in a basic ballet class. They will teach you different stretches and ways to strengthen your legs, and the basics are covered pretty quickly. Once they have taught you ways to strengthen yourself, just practice at home. As for flexibility, it also comes with practice. The more you practice, the more flexible you come. It's a matter of time and effort. Once you have mastered the basics, I'm sure you will advance quickly! Good luck!
