I need some football help????????

yea so its the first week of football this week and the coaches got me mostly playing right guard. now i get confused when we line up and i have no one to block in front of me. when do i know to pull and who do i block when there is no one in front of me??????????????????????

Dont do nothing, do something.

help your teammate at center or the tackle next to you. if you do, they'll have no chance.if you stand still, your gonna get run over or yelled at.

Yea, ususually you will double up on one of the defensive ends, if not, look for blizting linebackers to block.

If it's a run play block a LB.

Pass play get back and wait for a pass rusher to get by. Then block him

A right guard would pull on counters and stretches for sure. The other pulls would depend on the offense. When no ones coming at you, chip the tackle( if there is one) and douple up on the ends.

Guard is a wonderful position...I played Guard in high school and semi-pro, so here's a basic rule of when to block and pull, etc.

With someone infront of you...Run play to your side...kick his butt

Run play awaykick guys butt in front of you..., if no one therehelp the center double down on the nose, or work your way to block the linebackers.

Pass with someone in front kick his butt.

Pass no one in front, wait for blitzing linebackers or help center.

Pulling, i don't know your plays, but they usually come on sweeps and traps, most likely if you play right, and it's a trap left, you're going to pull and lead block to the left.

lways remember if you're on the bench watching practice listen to the plays and watch what the guy in front of you does, and ask questions.

Pull them away from the hole the runningback is going threw.. On pass plays fire out a lil bit.. Run plays fire out a lot!! Stay aggressive and strong and just move the defensive lineman out of the way.. If you have no one to block help another teammate.. you always have some.. If you dont know your holes you should.. The left side is all tha odds 1 3 5 7 right is tha evens 2 4 6 8 0 you are the 2.. (make sure you know wat hole the runningback is going to.. if its your side move him tha opposite way) Good luck!! When theres nobody to block make sure you dont just stand there. Go help the nearest teamate  block someone so theres no chance he gets through.
