  1. alphabet and animals can get removable stickers for teh walls

  2. what are their ages?

if they are the same ages then the whole room can be dedicated to them, but if they are different ages then you can divide the room

also you can divide the room to "rough and tumble" OK i mean a small slide and a little tunnel and have a "reading tree"

draw a tree on the wall and then have a little section that comes out that you build, this is an area where they can sit and read, look at books...

puzzles, floor puzzles, and little puzzles.

craft zone (that will get messy so you might not want to have carpet in that area)  that way paint, and everything can get on the floor.

put numbers, shapes, animals, colors (primary) textures all over the walls that way their mind is always going.

don't make it too complicated so they feel lost, but enough so they can recognize and grasp everything.  Then as they get older you can change it to fit their age.

    good luck

  3. I would reccomend carpet tiles

    Try a company called Flor.

    http://www.flor.com/

They have carpet tiles specifically for kids or playrooms.

And a huge selection of varying styles and textures.

  4. well here is how mine is done...

I have the bottom half of the walls painted in the chalkboard paint, and the top half in primary colors.  I have the foam mats with alphabet letters & numbers over the carpet, which also come in primary colors.  I have to TV in a corner shelf up high so they cannot touch it, left on noggin 24/7 lol.  I went to walmart and got some posters (the big ones) of spongebob, and cars, tinkerbelle, ect... and put them in plexi-glass frames, and hung them on the walls.  My huband built a bench that fills the wall by the door, and the seats in it open for storage= toy box bench lol.  They have an activity table in the room, also, a cork board for pinning up there art work.

    Hope that helps some

  5. You can get puzzles... Anyway, you can put up the alphabet, and 1-10 on your walls. Whether you buy decor or make up your own. (making your own is more fun).

Put different shapes with different colors...

Lastly, I found some cute ideas on martha stewarts page, so I'll include that, but I also suggest you google "playroom decorating ideas" - there are some really cool ones I found myself.

    Hope it turns out awesome!

  6. animals with their names

    alphabet

    numbers

a tree with different leaves to put up for each season

    planets

    EDIT

why did we all get thumbs down?

  7. I just decorated a playroom for young children at my place of employment-- here are the websites I used to find all the products I needed to make the room fun and functional:

    -Area rugs:

    http://www.kidcarpet.com/

    -Posters:

    http://www.123posters.com/kids.htm

    -Toys and Games:

    http://www.educationaltoysplanet.com/

If you don't have the time to wait for this stuff to be delivered to your home, I hope these sites give you some good ideas for your room.  You can probably find similar items for lower prices at local retailers anyway.
