1. You want an honest answer?

Until he's about 3 (at the earliest) he will never even remember his first or second birthdays (not unless you go out of your way to traumatize him or something!). Save yorself the $. Keep it super simple and cheap. On his 4th or 5th birthday go nuts. I have the memory of an elephant. I remember things in my childhood going back to when I was TWO WEEKS old. For real. And yet I cannot remember a single birthday prior to my 5th one nor can I remember a single Christmas prior to my 4th one.

  2. When my brother turned one, my mom had a teddy bear themed party. It was precious. She set out different teddy bears around the cake in middle of table. You could have a room filled with lots of teddy bears for the kids to play with, and could also have each kid bring their own bear, as well. For a favor (if you really feel like splurging), you could give each kid a gift certificate to Build-A-Bear Workshop.

For food you can serve Teddy Grahams and different kinds of "berr"ies (sorry, that was really corny!). You can have "Little Bear" and "Yogi Bear" playing on tv for the kids to watch. You could also make the birthday cake in to a bear face-- just use chocolate frosting and make one big cake for the head and two little ones for the ears.

Happy Birthday to your son and hope his party goes really well ;)

  3. Theme: Thomas

    Train Party Invitations:

Make a train ticket by hand or use your computer.

    Text:

    All Aboard...to celebrate ___'s Birthday!

    Inside:

    Name of "Station" Your Name

Please meet at Track # "street address"

    Date:

    Time:

    RSVP: To the Station Master

Dress the birthday boy like an Engineer and welcome each guest with an engineers hat, bandana or whistle.

This is a painting project, so be sure you provide smocks and cover your work space.

    You'll Need:

    Kids safe Paint

Construction paper - clue, green, red

Inexpensive toy trains (wood or plastic)

Empty and clean meat trays or baking sheets

    Optional - cotton and glue

To make the project place a few trains in each paint color. Give the children their paper. Show them how to

"drive" the train in the paint to get the wheels covered with paint. then "drive the train on the paper to make

the tracks. Variation: Cut the paper into the shape of trains prior to painting to make a special train picture.

Glue the trains onto another piece of paper and add some steam using cotton and glue.

    Story Time

End the party with a quiet story time, by reading a short

    Thomas the Tank Engine Book.

Goodie bag: train stickers, playdoh and a train cookie cutter and a choo- choo- whistle as well.

  4. What about hiring a small bouncy castle?

  5. well i disagree with the above answers!! ♥♥♥♥

he may not remember it; but it is still fun!!!!

here are some ideas for some themes~

    ~blues clues

    ~dora the explorer

    ~ go diego go!

    ~ BARNEY!

    ~Bob the builder!

    ~Mickey Mouse!

~ A blue theme (my brothers had that on their first birthday)

    ~Any color really will work!!!

Games~ Well obviously since your son is only one he may not be ready to play games; so just have some outside toys if is summer so olders children can play with! Or you can play like pin the tail on the donkey or something for young kids!

Foods~ CAKE! have a cake that is acceptable for the theme!

Ice cream! and maybe some food if you want to!

i hope these ideas will work!!! ♥♥♥
