I need some good rock and punk rock and alternative songs?

Question

I'm looking for maybe some songs or bands that not alot of people have heard of as well as the more popular stuff.

maybe something along the lines of Here without you-3 doors down or three days grace, the spill canvas, silverstein or any other bands or songs please help i seriously love music and i want to update my music a little bit have 150 dollars to spend on itunes plus i'm going Cd shopping with a few friends.

punk rock = THE DAMNED!

they were part of the explosion of brit punk rock along with the ramones/s*x pistols but oftentimes don't get enough credit!! they are still around/touring these days too!! (US TOUR COMING UP SOON) ... sure they are getting older now but they have really great music these days (new album finally coming soon) and they are at least faring a lot better than like the rolling stones (they aren't quite that old either!)

listen/see (here's their website, direct link to audio player)  try a few of the songs, as some are from the 80s (new rose) and others are newer (democracy, song.com, thrill kill) and everything else in between.... dave vanian has awesome unique vocals, it takes a little while to get used to it because it's so different but i love them. plus... it's a free audio player with a good mix!
