I need some good thoughts to get some sleep?

can you help me, right now i have alot of thoughts that i panic about. i need to be calm and look forward to something.

  1. First, stop panicking. Close your eyes and think of a blank sky, unmoving and unchanging, where there's nothing at all to hurt you. Let it calm you do.

    When you imagine this, or anything else, make sure there is silence and that in your imagination there are no people around.

    Be alone, by yourself, and breathe.

  3. I'm sometimes in the same boat. I go to sleep, but my mind starts racing about all the things I'll have to do soon, and a feeling of panic creeps up.

    What I try to do then is think of something that was really soothing and calm in the past, and how I'm planning to do that again. For example, I think of lying in a rowboat, and all I feel is the sun on my closed eyes, the slight rocking of the boat, and the sounds of the lake. That was peace.

    I don't know when I'll have the chance to make this kind of retreat again, I can't make plans yet, but I just resolve to go again. And that helps me. Maybe you can find something like that, despite an uncertain future.
