Okay, so I am going into 8th grade, and my best time for last year's cross country season was 16:57. I know I am not the fastest, but I don't think that is too terrible. Here is my question, for all of those adults out there who are runners, similar to how I am. Did you find that you got a lot better as time went on? Can you outrun some those who were in the top in High School? Could I be better long term if I am like this? Is there still hope for me not to suck later in life?

  1. of course there is definetly hope. start running now! 2 miles every other day will help you tremendously. plus you already have experience. now all you have to do is run, run, and when you feel you have to stop, RUN! even if it's really slow make sure you get those 2 miles in running, not walking. if you time yourself every week you should see some improvements soon =]

  2. oh gosh of course! your still young, and that is a GREAT time for middle school!

as long as you keep it up, stay on a good diet, keep yourself healthy, and run as much as you can, youll have a great time in the future!

you have a future in cross country kid! keep it up!
